Peter McKibben plays Godin, Switch, and Dean guitars. He also rips on a homebuilt "Frankencaster" made up of parts from Warmoth, All Parts, & Carruthers Guitars with Seymour Duncan and Tom Anderson pick-ups and Schaller tuning heads. He swears by Elixir strings. Acoustic instruments include an Ibanez 6-string, Dean 12-string, and electric mandolin. Some bass tracks are played on a fretless bass. Processing and MIDI is handled by Roland GR-20 and GR-55 Guitar Synths, Boss GT-8 Processor, TC Electronix, Line 6, Electro Harmonix, Digitech and other stuff. Digital percussion duties are delegated to an Alesis SR-16 and a Yamaha DD-55. "Guitar Storys" is continually being recorded at The Command Center in San Francisco.
Peter McKibben
"These CD's will present a number of different guitar driven musics that will be used for different purposes. The straight-ahead rock/fusion will be self-explanatory, while the more cerebral soundscapes and/or orchestral meanderings may be utilized in the future for radio spots, advertisments, background colorizing, etc. My goal is to produce music that reflects all my influences and music interests. But most importantly, each piece will tell a story."
